Maavinakaayi Anna




Maavinakaayi Anna is a traditional dish of Karnataka usually prepared during the beginning of mango season (April to early August). It is made from green unripe mangoes, rice, peanuts, grated coconut, cashew nuts, Bengal gram, green chillies, curry leaves, mustard seeds, and spices. Preparation is similar to lemon rice.
