Maala




Maala is a string of beads used as an ornament. It is made up of pearls, diamonds, rudraksha, plastic and metals such as gold, silver and platinum. Religiously, maala is considered as an aid for mantra repetition. It is believed that depending on the nature of beads, the maala can protect the person who wears the maala.
