M. L. Vasanthakumari

M. L. Vasanthakumari, often referred to as MLV, was an eminent Carnatic music vocalist. Born in 1928, she was blessed with a melodious voice. Vasanthakumari was the disciple of G. N. Balasubramaniam. For her distinguished contributions, she was honored with Padma Vibhushan. Vasanthakumari died in 1990.
