Lesser Spotted Eagle is a small eagle with long wings and tail. The bird grows up to 60 to 65 cm in length. It is chocolate brown in color; the wings are dark brown - darker than the rest of the plumage. The bill is slender, its eyes cere, and feet yellow.
The bird feeds mainly on small mammals also taking termites, frogs and birds. It inhabits in woodlands, hills and near water bodies.
