Lantana (Lantana camara) is a tough evergreen shrub with an unpleasant aroma. Stems and leaves are rough in texture and covered with hairs. It can grow in full sun and semi-shade. Lantana requires well-drained soil and can tolerate drought. Propagation is by seed or cuttings.
Lantana is used as a diaphoretic, carminative and stimulant. It is also considered as a remedy for sprains and respiratory diseases.
