Lampra Puja

Lampra Puja is performed by the Noatia community of Tripura. It is usually observed on occasions such as marriage, housewarming, first rice feeding ceremony, and at the beginning of all social and religious ceremonies. The deities are propitiated by sacrificing animals and by giving offerings. The puja is also observed by the Jamatia community before any household puja or community festival.
