Lal Krishna Advani, better known as LK Advani, is a renowned Indian politician and the president of Bharatiya Janata Party. Born on 8th November 1927 in Karachi, he did early part of his schooling in Karachi and later graduated in Law from Bombay University. Advani joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the second defense force of India. He was a Member of the Rajya Sabha from 1970 to 1989. Assuming different posts, he had established various reforms. In the 12th Lok Sabha he was the Home Minister of India. A contemporary personality, Advani had served as Deputy Prime Minister in the government of Atal Behari Vajpayee.
