Laxman Tila

Lakshman Tila takes the origin of Lucknow to the epic Ramayana. Legend has it that Lord Ram gifted the place to his brother Lakshman.

Lakshman Tila is a high mound north of Imambara complex and is believed to have been the abode of Lakshman. It lies on the banks of Gomati River and now houses the famous Alamgiri Mosque.
