Lakhimpur is a village in
Rupnagar District of
Punjab. The village is 3 km from Rupnagar.
It has large fields for the cultivation of crops such as wheat, cotton and mustard. The sixth Sikh guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib, had visited this village which made the land sacred and famous. A Gurdwara has been built here, to commemorate the visit of the saint Guru.
