At a height of 17,122 ft, Kungi La gives an enthralling view of the Himalayas as well as the valleys around. The nearby attractions are Mulbekh Gompa, Mulbekh Chamba and Futu La. It is an ideal destination for group picnickers and trekkers.

Kungi La can be accessed from Leh and Kargil, by road. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the Jammu – Pathankot line.
