Kula Devata is a god traditionally worshipped in an Indian Hindu family, the kuladevata is the patron deity. The worshipping of this family god is usually handed down through generations of the family. Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh, Durga, Lord Muruga (Subrahmanya), Radha, Lord Krishna, Lord Ram, Sita, Goddess Lakshmi and Navagrahas. are all popular kuladevatas in households.
