Kui Language




Kui is a Dravidian language spoken by the inhabitants of the Kui Tribe in the hilly Ghat region of Orissa. It is also spoken by the Kandhas. The Kedu Dance performed by the Kondhas, on the occasion of Kedu Festival, is accompanied by devotional songs sung in the Kui language.
