Kudal




Kudal is the administrative headquarters of Sindhudurg District in Maharashtra. Located to the north of Vengurla, Kudal lies on National Highway 17, near the Bhansal River. A branch road leads Kudal to Valaval, 15 km to the west.

Kudal, fringed by green coconut gardens, is noted for its scenic beauty. Rangana Fort, Vithal Temple, Mulade Pawasi Lake, Ghodegaon, Kudaleshwar Temple and Dutta Temple at Mandgaon are some of the tourist spots around. Malvan to the west, Sawantwadi to the north-west and Tendoli to the south are among the surrounding places.

There are regular buses from Kudal Bus Station to Vengurla, Kankavali and Malvan. Kudal Railway Station is on the Roha – Margao rail route of the Konkan Railways. Goa Airport is the nearest airport.
