Krishna Peacock (Princeps krishna) is widely seen in
Sikkim,
Assam,
Arunachal Pradesh,
Nagaland and
Manipur. The head, abdomen and thorax are black in color. The wingspan is around 12-13 cm.
The upper side of Krishna Peacock is black, dusted with greenish scales. A narrow sharply defined yellow discal band is seen on the upper forewing. Greenish-blue discal patch, which extends as a greenish band up to the dorsum, is on the upper hind wing. On both sides of the hind wing, there are a series of red mauve-capped crescents found.
