Kisseh-i-Sanjan

The story of Sanjan

Kisseh-i-Sanjan is a book describing the journey of Parsis from Persia to India. Bahman Kaikobad wrote this book. Originally written in Persian, it has been translated into Gujarati and English. It tells that Zoroastrians left Persia when the rule of Yazdegird ended. The date of the Parsis' arrival in Sanjan is not mentioned in the book, but scholars such as Sir (Dr) Jivanji Modi have estimated the year to be AD 785.
