Kinz




Kinz is an extensive rhizomatic climber and belongs to the family Dioscoreaceae. The plant has horizontal, grayish brown rhizomes, with rigid scattered roots.

Kinz is considered as a source of steroidal hormones. It is prescribed as a remedy for rheumatic pains, allergies and certain ophthalmic disorders.

It is also known as Wild Yam or Shingli-Mingli in certain areas. It is found commonly in the forests of Himachal Pradesh.
