Khudar River

Khudar River is one of the main rivers flowing through Khajuraho, a historic town noted for its temples, in Madhya Pradesh. A dam, with a water spread of 8 sq km, is built across this river, which is an ideal destination for boating and angling. Shri Khajuraho Teerth, a world famous Jain temple, is situated on the banks of the Khudar River. After meandering around 24 km from Khajuraho, the river joins with the Ken River (a tributary of the river Yamuna) at Ken Gharial Sanctuary.
