Khele Dance

Khele is a dance form popular among the youths of the Konkan region. The dancers go from house to house performing traditional dances such as Gopi - Krishna, God Hanuman, Demon Show, and Devil Dance. Young people cover their faces with hand made masks and shout the term ‘Shabai’ in front of houses to collect money. The dance is accompanied by the noise of musical instruments including Tabla and the Zanz.
