Khangkhui Cave




Khangkhui Cave, locally known as Khangkhui Mangsor, is a natural lime stone cave located in Ukhrul District. Many artifacts belonging to Paleolithic culture have been discovered from this cave.

According to local folklore, the big hall in the cave is the durbar hall of the Devil King living deep inside and the northern hall is his royal bedroom.

During the Second World War, the villagers sought shelter in this cave.

Khangkhui Cave is about 11 km from Ukhrul.
