Keladi Chennamma

Keladi Chennamma was a renowned and brave queen who ruled the kingdom of Keladi for over 25 years. She came to the throne when her husband failed in handling his duties and responsibilities duly. In a war, she defeated the great Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and gave shelter to Rajaram, the son of Maratha king, Shivaji.
