Kavishila

Kavishila is beautiful place situated 16 km from Tirthahalli, in Shimoga District, Karnataka. It was this pristine surroundings that inspired poet Kuvempu to pen his immortal verses. Kuppalli, situated just half a kilometer from here, is famous as the ancestral house of Kuvempu. The house has been converted into a museum with a library, auditorium and research centre.
