Kashyap Samhita

Kashyap Samhita is one of the ancient texts on Ayurveda. It deals with gynecology, obstetrics, midwifery and pediatric diseases. Kashyap Samhita explains diseases like rickets in detail, as it is believed to have a supernatural origin. Kashya Samhita describes all the rituals to be followed from the birth of the baby.

The number of sections and division of the chapters of Kashyap Samhita is similar to that of Charaka Samhita.
