Kasba Peth




Kasba Peth is considered to be the first among the famous peths in Pune, Maharashtra. This oldest residential area was established during 1637-1662. It lies to the south-east of the Mutha River.

The peth, also known as the Kumbhar Wada, is renowned for its old structured houses called ‘Wada’. Lal Mahal, Shaniwar Wada and Kasba Ganpati Temple are famous in this area. Today, brass and copper utensils manufacturers are also occupied here.
