Kanchi Kudil, an ancient traditional house located at Sangeetha Vidwan Nainar Pillai Street (Old Putheri Street) in
Kanchipuram,
Tamil Nadu. It has architecture of times, courtyards, a food court, traditional crafts and soft string instruments.
Designed to showcase Dravidian heritage, the house is authentic in old-style architecture and functionality. It offers a sight of the life of an agricultural family in a small town - the master's room, room for the women and children, room for the gods, verandahs and the backyard with agricultural implements.
Demonstrations of craftsmen and artisans are arranged during tourist seasons. The descriptions on the history of Kanchipuram and its temples, and traditional music as background are the added attractions.
The house can be visited on a small entrance fee.
