Kanakadhara Stotram




Kanakadhara Stotram is a hymn to Goddess Lakshmi written by Adi Shankaracharya.

Kanakadhara Stotram was chanted by the sage when he was touched by the plight and helplessness of a poor women. Legend has it that when Sage Shankaracharya prayed to Goddess Lakshmi, wealth was showered on the poor woman.

Kanakadhara Stotram consists of 22 stotrams (verses) and chanting of it is believed to bless every devotee with wealth and prosperity.
