Kaikeyi

Kaikeyi, the princess of Kaikeya, was the third wife of king Dasaratha, and the step-mother of Ram and the mother of Bharat in the Ramayana. She was the youngest and the most beautiful among Dasaratha’s three wives. Being an outstanding chariot rider, she saved the life of Dasaratha during a war, while riding his chariot. In gratitude to this, the king offered her three boons, which ultimately resulted in the 14 years exile of Ram.
