Kadu Malleswara Temple




Kadu Malleswara Temple, situated at Malleswaram in Bangalore, is a historic temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built by Venkoji, the step brother of Chhatrapati Shivaji, in 1669. The word ‘kadu’ literally means forest, referring to the thick vegetation that marked the surrounding places. Malleswaram suburb derives its name after this temple.

Bangalore City Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
