Kachner




Situated about 35 km from Aurangabad on Beed Road, Kachner is a village sacred to the Jains. This place is popularly known as Mahavirji of the south and draws a large number of Jains from all around the world. Shri 1008 Chintamani Parshwanath Digambar Jain Atishaya Kshetra is the major point of attraction at Kachner. This Jain temple is dedicated to Parshwanath Bhagwan and the presiding idol is believed to have been excavated from the vicinity. Every year on Kartik Poornima, a grand fair is held here. The famous caves of Alora are easily accessible from here. Aurangabad Railway Station is the nearest railhead (37 km) and the nearest airport is at Aurangabad.
