Jethwas were considered as the original rulers of
Porbandar, a picturesque harbor town lying on the western coast of
Saurashtra, in
Gujarat. They were the first Rajput clan who came to Saurashtra, which was a thickly forested region in ancient times. Jethwas claim to be Surya Vamsi and are said to be the descendants of
Lord Hanuman.
