Jatayu Paaka

Jatayu Paaka, also known as Yetapaka, is located about 2 km from Bhadrachalam in Khammam District. According to legends, it is the place where the king of eagles Jattayuvu (an ardent devotee of Lord Ram) attacked the demon king Ravana, while carrying off Sita to Lanka. Jattayuvu was seriously injured in the battle and one of his wings fell at Rekhapalli, 55 km from here.
