Jambudveepa Prajnapti Sutra is a highly venerated text in
Jainism. The teaching and principles contained in it is followed by the
Shwetambar sect.
This text is a part of the Jain canonical literature called Upang Agams, which provides explanation to the thoughts contained in the primary texts called Agam Sutras.
Jambudveepa Prajnapti Sutra contains a detailed description of a land called Jambudveepa. This land is supposed to be a big island situated in the center of the world. Experts however claim that this region is actually India. Apart from the region there is also a detailed description of the kings who ruled this land in the ancient times.
