Indian Cupid

Indian Cupid (Everes lacturnus syntala) is a medium sized highly variable butterfly that lives in plains and on the foot hills. It is distributed in the Himalayas, up to an altitude 2000 m and at low elevations in South India.

Indian Cupid is pale brown in shade. It also shows sexual dimorphism. The sexes are unlike in size and markings. The male often visits damp patches.
