Illikkal Temple




Illikkal Temple is situated at Kumbalangi in Ernakulam District. This ancient Brahmin temple dates back over 400 years and the presiding deity is Goddess Parvati.

According to folklore, worshipped only by Brahmins, the temple was deserted in fear of Christians. The idol was later reinstalled by Shri Narayana Guru.

The temple is accessible from Fort Kochi, 10 km away.
