Iderganj Plateau

Watershed of Two Major Reservoirs

The Iderganj Plateau is the watershed of two major reservoirs created when the Radhanagari and Kalammawadi dams were constructed. Immeasurable insect and animal life are found in the forests here. These dense forests are home to rare animals like the shekru, or Giant Indian Squirrel. The tallest and splendid specimens of wild oxen in the world, the Indian bison, or gaur roam here. The monsoons see a luxuriant growth of herbs.
