, Hyderabad Race Club (HRC) has a tradition of conducting race course for over hundred years. Racing was conducted under the guidance of the Royal Calcutta Turf Club
till the formation of the South India Turf Club in 1956. The later Nizam sold the 126 acres of land to the Hyderabad Race Club.
The present race course at
has two different race tracks for the monsoon and winter seasons respectively. The club features a race course complex, tracks, stands, professional quarters, stables, and equine swimming pools. The members' stand comprises 262 two-seater boxes and 800 open chairs for members and guests. A VIP enclosure has a capacity to seat around 600 guests. For HRC horses, there are 40 permanent centrally air-cooled stables.
