Harihara II




Harihara II succeeded to the throne after the great reign of Bukkaraya. He assumed the titles of Maharajadhiraja and Rajaparameswara, whereas his father and uncle had the title, Mahamandaleswara only. His empire extended over the whole of south India including Mysore, Kanchi, Chingleput, Malabar and Madurai.

He gave his daughter Hariharamba in marriage to Kataya Vema Reddi of Rajahmundry. His ministers conquered Goa and many territories. He introduced many welfare activities for the people. He was succeeded by his sons Virupaksha I and Bukka II and then Deva Raya.
