taluk headquarters and prominent town in
Durg District of
Chhattisgarh. It is around 70 km south-west of
Durg.
Balod, 20 km west, is noted for temples and ancient monuments. Tandula, around 15 km south-west, is a tourist attraction.
Nearest airport is at Raipur. Balod Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
