Gumba




Gumba lies on the Udaipur-Gramphu trekking route, about 4 km north of Karpat, in the north-western part of Lahaul and Spiti District. It is around 17 km east of Bhotaor and roughly 21 km south of Banon. The sweeping views of ice-topped mountain peaks, which one could glimpse on the way, are of unsurpassable charm. Ramjak Peak, Shashur Monastery, Tayul Monastery, Khardong Monastery, Suraj Tal Lake, Gepang Goh Peak, Mulkila Peak and Chandra Tal are some of the prominent attractions near Gumba. The nearest airport is Kullu Manali Airport and the closest rail junction is Joginder Nagar Railway Station.
