Gudibanda Cave Temple




Gudibanda Cave Temple is situated at Gudibanda in Kolar District. It is dedicated to Narasimha, worshipped in the form of a natural stone. This cave temple has stonewalls in front of it. There is a brick and mortar tower above the boulder which contains the cave. The cave has inner and outer chambers, which are named garbhagriha and mantapa respectively. The northern wall of the outer chamber has figures of Ram, Varaha and Ugra- Narasimha and also crude carvings of a fish and a serpent. Its doorway is also guarded by two dwarapal figures.
