Government Engineering College at
Thrissur was established in 1958 by the government of
Kerala. It is located at Ramavarmapuram, about 5 km from the town. Under-graduate programs are conducted in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Production Engineering. Part-time B.Tech courses are offered for diploma holders. Post-graduate programs are conducted in Environmental Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Process Control, Production Engineering, and Computer Applications.
Facilities such as hostel, dispensary, post-office, bank, and co-operative store are available.
