Goswami Tulsidas Jayanti

Goswami Tulsidas Jayanti is a famous festival held all over India on the seventh day of Shukl Paksh Shravan (waxing moon). This festival is celebrated in honor of Tulsidas, a great saint poet who penned the famous Ram Charit Manas.

During the auspicious day of Tulsidas Jayanti, devotees visit temples dedicated to Lord Ram and read the Ram Charit Manas with religious fervor. Apart from this, Brahmins are fed and seminars and symposiums are arranged on the teachings and life of Tulsidas.
