Gorur

Gorur is an excellent picnic spot with one of the biggest reservoirs in Karnataka. This dam site is across the Hemavathy River. Gurur is 20 km from Hassan on way to Madikeri and 61 km from Belur. There are two Inspection Bungalows controlled by the Chief Engineer Hemawathi. One can stay here for night after getting prior reservation.
