Gopi Talav

Gopi Talav is an sacred pond situated about 20 km north of Dwarka, on the way to Bet Dwarka, in Gujarat. According to Hindu mythology, it is the ancient site where Lord Krishna met the gopis when they came to see him at Dwarka. The sacred clay from Gopi Talav, known as ‘Gopi Candana’, is used to make the tilak marks by devotees of Krishna on their bodies.
