Gopad River

Gopad River, one of the main tributaries of the Son River, emerges from the hills on the north of Sonhat Plateau in Sarguja District of Chattisgarh. It receives waters from the Goini and Neur rivers. After that it flows towards north and west in stages and meets with other rivers such as the Sehra, the Kandas and the Mohan during its course through Sidhi District. Then the stream merges with the Son near Bardi and joins the Ganges after a long journey.
