Golden Fronted Leafbird




Golden-fronted Leafbird (Chloropsis aurifrons) is a leafbird of about 20 cm, found in India and Southeast Asia. The bird feeds on insects and berries. The adult has a dark green body, black face and throat bordered with yellow and bright grass-green underside and tail. It has a blue moustachial line and orange forehead. Young ones have a plain green head.

Golden Fronted Leafbird can be seen in the Corbett National Park, Uttaranchal.
