Golden Dock, Rumex maritimus (Latin name), is a fat erect annual herb. Its fruit consists of rumarin, rutin and hyperin.
Golden Dock has purgative, refrigerant and antipruritic properties. The seeds have 5 percent tannin. Chrysophanic acid, saccharose and tannin are also found in root.
It is also known as Chukra bheda and Jungli palak.
