Surrounded by Rocky Mountains and the
Western Ghats on one side and the
Arabian Sea on the other, Gokarna Beach is one among the five beaches in Gokarna, situated 60 km from
Karwar. It is quite crowded, particularly during evenings as this beach is situated close to the town.
Kudle and Om beaches are nearby.
Gokarna can be accessed from Goa and Bangalore (470 km) by road and rail. Buses ply regularly from here to other nearby cities and towns. The nearest aerodrome is Goa Airport.
