Go Puja or Cow Puja is a ritual of worshipping the Go-Matha or cow. According to
Hinduism cow symbolizes
Lakshmi, the Goddess of prosperity. The cow is considered the mother because as the infants suck the breast milk of mother, human society takes cow’s milk. Go Puja is also related with the stories of
Lord Krishna and hence it is worshipped, being dear to the Lord. This puja is performed to thank the Go-Matha for all that she gives us selflessly.
