Ghoga is located in Bhagalpur District of Bihar. Bhagalpur, the district headquarters, is about 20 km west.

Ganges River has its course through the area. Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary is a tourist attraction in the region.

Patna Airport is the nearest airport. Ghoga Railway Station is on the Bhagalpur – Sahibganj rail route.
