Technique of Decorating Metal Surfaces



Ganga-Jamuna is a technique employed in decorating the surfaces of metalware. In this technique brass and copper are combined (along with a little German silver) to obtain shapes. Brass represents Ganga and copper represents Yamuna. This metalware is common in the Himalayan foothills.
